    ASEAN COUNTRIES TAKE CENTER STAGE

    AT RENEWABLE ENERGY ASIA 2010

     

    Emphasizing its importance as a proactive meeting point for countries and companies concerned with the environment, all eyes will be on the Renewable Energy Asia in co-location with Entech Pollutec Asia/Pumps & Valves Asia exhibitions in Bangkok this September.

    This year events will feature ASEAN nations that will be delivering presentations to an audience of technology providers, investors and government officials at a dynamic new venue – the ASEAN Investment Pavilion.

    Ideas being presented will include current development, trends, policy and plan as well as projected systems designed to reduce dependence on expensive, carbon-based energy sources. Official government backing and support often subsidizes start-up and operational costs. And some of the ideas are already helping countries and businesses lower energy costs today.

    ASEAN INVESTMENT PAVILION IS THE PLACE FOR ACTION
     

    The ASEAN Investment Pavilion will be action central at the show. The ASEAN Investment stands will be manned by senior government officials from ASEAN countries who’ll be providing further information relating to environment and renewable energy market in their countries.

    This is the first time the Investment Pavilion will be featured. Essentially it provides exhibitors, government officials and investors with a focused presentation platform where all parties can exchange ideas and explore investment opportunities in a professional environment designed to get projects off the ground ASAP.

    In addition, a special seminar titled “Current Status, Trends, Development, Incentives and Opportunities for Renewable Energy” will be held on the third day of the exhibition when senior government officials from the ASEAN countries will be sharing report about status of renewable energy in their respective countries. ASEAN countries that confirmed participation so far are Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.
