Indonesia, Philippines to Explore Investment
and Technology Offers at Exhibition
|
Top-level managers, government officials and industry professionals from Indonesia and the Philippines have expressed interest to explore investment partnerships and technology offers at Renewable Energy Asia, Entech Pollutec Asia and Pumps & Valves Asia.
At least a few hundreds or more decision-makers are expected to visit the exhibitions in September. And a large percentage of these will be highly satisfied Road Show attendees who will likely pass on the good news to colleagues in the industry.
Entech Pollutec/Renewable Energy/ Pumps & Valves Asia2010 will be held at the BITEC Exhibition Center in Bangkok from 15th-18th September, and it’s the perfect place to inspect the latest systems and technology, as well as meet with VIPs from both the public and private sectors.

“Southeast Asia’s strong economic recovery is now spurring investment in both areas of renewable energy and the environment”, said Dr.Boonrod Sajjakulnukit, former Alternative Energy expert with Thailand’s Ministry of Energy “Thailand has a variety of generous incentive programs to encourage businesses to get on board,” he noted.

“Latest figures project the ASEAN economy to grow by up to 5.6% in 2010,” said Mr.Michiel Kruse, Managing Director of UBM Asia (Thailand), the exhibition organiser. “This is good news for businesses, particularly those involved in renewable energy and clean energy systems,” said Mr Kruse.
“In addition, Entech Pollutec, Renewable Energy and Pumps & Valves Asia provide a convenient one-stop clinic for governments and entrepreneurs to network under one roof. Today, more than ever clean and green is the wave of the future,” the Managing Director said.

On the Philippine side, Attorney Marissa P. Cerezo, OIC-Assistant Director of the Renewable Energy Management Bureau, Department of Energy, said that 2008 power generation in the Philippines increased to 60,820GWh. – a 67% sufficiency level. This made the country open to more investment and development, especially in renewable energy. Strategic organizations and companies relating to renewable energy and the environment attended both shows.

Mr HARRIS, Director for Renewable Energy at the Indonesian Ministry of Energy, discussed the latest Indonesian policies and government incentive programs currently being offered to business entrepreneurs.

Indonesian participants at the 5th May Road Show were led by the Ministry of Energy and the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society.
Attendees at the Philippines’ 27th April Road Show were headed by the Renewable Energy Management Bureau, Department of Energy; Meralco (power distribution utility); Renewable Energy Association of the Philippines; Development Bank of the Philippines; and De La Salle University, a leading Philippine educational institution.
The recent Road Shows to Philippines and Indonesia were aimed to exchange the information related to renewable energy development in the ASEAN as well as to personally invite the investors from the two countries to attend Renewable Energy Asia exhibition scheduled for 15th-18th September this year.
