RETECH ENERGY COMPANY MARKETS GREEN ENERGY KNOW-HOW IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT
    (01/01/2009)

Thailand’s Renewable Energy Development Plan was recently approved by the Cabinet and will cover the period from 2008-2022.

“The national agenda is very supportive of our business.” Said Ms. Anja  Westphal, Marketing Manager of Retech Energy Company. We feel that 2010 is going to be a very important year for establishing markets in this field.” she said, “That is why we will again be exhibiting at Renewable Energy Asia in 2nd – 5th  June 2010.
The Plan is expected to attract investment of about Bt380 billion and employ  about 40,000 people. It will also cut fuel imports by Bt460 billion, and generate Bt14 billion worth of carbon-credits. Thailand plans to raise renewable energy usage from the current 6.4 per cent to 14.1 per cent in 2022. The alternative-energy ratio would also be raised from 7.3 per cent to 20.3 per cent as stated in the Plan.
“During the exhibition we will be highlighting how feed stocks can be converted into biogas,” said Ms. Anja  Westphal.

Retech Energy’s technology portfolio includes Biogas Engine Generators, Biomass Fired Heat and Power Plants, Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Plants, Waste Heat Recovery Systems, Chemical / Infectious / Industrial Waste Incineration, Wind Energy Systems and CDM / Carbon Finance operation.

According to the company the increasing price of oil, dwindling fossil fuel supplies and the need to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, makes the need for alternative energy resources imperative.

Retech Energy was established in 2004, but company management has lived and worked in Thailand  for more than three decades and is very familiar with  the industrial and social environment.

Thailand still depends to a large extent on imported fossil fuels but, now realizes that domestic renewable energy sources are the fuels of the future.

“Together with a network of worldwide accredited technology suppliers and our ability to provide essential information of resources and policies from local government agencies, institutions and industries, Retech Energy offers professional assistance to the growing number of technology supplies and investors in this sector,” they said recently.

Besides playing an active role in the development of programs and business ventures, Retech offers project development, turn-key plants, managed engineering services, local fabrication and other key support services in the field of finance and CDM emission trading.

Be sure to visit their exhibit at the show.
